Senior Pastor, Larry Murray

Larry has served as the lead pastor since 2004. He and his wife, DeeDee, have three children, Michael, Lauren, and Stephen. Born in 1968 and raised in Austin and Garland, Texas, Larry trusted in Christ as his Savior at an early age and was a member of Reinhardt Bible Church in Dallas as a youth. Larry and DeeDee were married in 1991.  A year later, they moved to Mesquite, TX for Larry to pursue seminary work at Dallas Seminary (ThM '96). At the same time, he was hired as a staff member at Lake Ridge Bible Church where he served from 1992-2004.

The Murrays are all actively involved in the church family and in the community of Plano.  Larry loves to watch sports and play anything ending in -ball.

Associate Pastor, Robert Matthews

Native of Atlanta, Georgia, Robert's first career was as a professional actor. In 1978, Jesus became Robert's Savior and Lord, and two years later, Robert enrolled at Columbia Bible College. After graduation, Robert and his wife Ruthie moved to Texas to attend Dallas Theological Seminary. Robert graduated in 1988 with a Masters of Theology degree and has been at Plano Bible Chapel ever since. He teaches, does Bible counseling, and is very involved in the community as Chaplain for the Plano Police and Fire Departments. Robert and Ruthie have two grown daughters, Ashley and Amanda, who are both married, and one granddaughter.

Worship Pastor, Dan Roeber

Raised in upstate New York, Dan graduated from Cedarville University with a degree in Pre-Seminary Bible and a minor in Church Music. He and his wife, Sarah, then lived in Chengdu, China, for 3 years serving at an international school where Dan taught theology and drama for middle school and high school students. They have now relocated to the Dallas area where Dan is persuing a Th.M. in historical theology from DTS. Both Dan and Sarah are musicians at heart. Dan plays the guitar, piano, djembe and drums; Sarah is a professional pianist, having graduated from Cedarville with a degree in piano performance and pedagogy. Dan enjoys good coffee, good jazz music, and discussions on the intersection of theology and life. In his spare time Dan likes to read, watch movies, and play with Bailey, their miniature schnauzer.

A pastoral search committee for the Pastor of Student Ministries is seeking a youth pastor with strong people skills who relates well to students, adult leaders, and parents. This spiritually mature individual should possess strong ministry skills to implement a discipleship ministry with Junior High, Senior High, and College Students.  The Pastor of Student Ministries (Youth Pastor) is responsible for evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, and leadership development of Jr. High, Sr. High, and College students.  The Pastor oversees weekly meetings, Bible studies, and special events by equipping student leadership teams to accomplish the purposes of the PBC student ministry.  Click here for more information about the ministry responsibilities and qualifications.
