ACTS: The Conversion of Saul

For decades, a well-documented phenomenon has been occurring in the Muslim world—men and women who, without knowledge of the Gospel, or contact among Christians in their community, have experienced dreams and visions of Jesus Christ. Books like “Seeking Allah, finding Jesus” by Babeel Qureshi, “Dreams and Visions” by Tom Doyle, and “A Wind in the House of Islam” by David Garrison share specific stories of real people who have had dreams and visions of Jesus.

When Saul had a vision the resurrected Jesus on the road to Damascus (Acts 9), his life was changed forever. God transforms us by His mercy and grace to transform the lives of others for His eternal purposes.

ACTS: The Scattering of the Church

The “tipping point” of the early church, recorded in ACTS 8, was the outbreak of persecution, where the word-of-mouth testimonies about Jesus Christ from a few individuals had significant, sudden impact taking the Gospel from Jerusalem, to Judea and Samaria and on to the ends of the earth. Believers in Jesus who face persecution faithfully can positively impact His church and bring glory to His Name.

ACTS: The Persecution of the Church

Throughout the age of the church, faithful men and women have been willing to give their lives for the sake of Jesus Christ. In Acts 7:54-60, we see the faithful witness of Stephe who not only died for Christ - he lived for Christ.

Whatever we suffer due to faithfulness to Jesus, we will be rewarded with His eternal acceptance and the encouragement that He will use our service for His purpose and His glory.

ACTS: The Gospel of the Church

The book of ACTS gives us many examples of people sharing their faith in Jesus Christ. Of the twenty-three speeches that Luke recorded for his friend, Theophilus, ten of them contain a presentation and explanation of the Gospel. Each one gives us insight into how we can share our faith with others.

Acts 6-7 records the lengthy discourse of Stephen as he shared his faith in Jesus Christ with the ruling body of the Jews. He provides a great example of a faithful witness -- giving testimony to what he has seen and heard, even if no one believes the testimony.
