Prayer from Temptation

by Larry Murray | PBC Sermons

One of the things that made Billy Graham’s message so meaningful is that he lived it consistently for over a long lifetime. He consistently preached a message about salvation from sin by faith in Jesus Christ without allowing personal sin to rule or ruin his own life. He went the extra mile to avoid sinful traps that would derail his ministry or discredit his message. He said, “It’s not the temptations you have, but the decision you make about them that counts.”

Jesus taught His disciples to pray in light of our weaknesses to sin and our real enemy who wants to deceive us into sinning. He taught us, “And do not bring us into temptation but deliver us from the evil one” (Matthew 6:13).
