Serve Our Church
As Plano Bible Chapel responds to various needs in our church family and in our community, there are many service opportunities for volunteers and donations that are needed. Click HERE for a complete list of COVID-19 Service Opportunities.
Fix it Fridays at PBC
Get out of the house, spit and whittle, tell war stories, complain about old football injuries, take a walk around the PBC campus, evaluate the needs of the physical structures and landscape, identify a project or two that needs attention, enjoy the fellowship of other retirees each Friday at 9:00am. Let’s show our love to our LORD and His church.
For more information, please contact Mike Kerns or the PBC Office.
Serving in Children’s Ministry
Jesus said, “the harvest is abundant, but the workers are few” (Matt. 9:37-38). The greatest harvest in the world today is in the spiritual lives of our children. Social scientists and research scholars have known for years that the moral foundations of children are generally determined by the time the individual reaches age nine. As a result, anyone who wants to have significant influence in another person’s spiritual walk with God has the greatest opportunity while that person is young.
Sunday morning Children’s ministry is a great place to serve the Lord Jesus by caring for His children. Contact the church office to get in touch with our Children’s Ministry Team leaders.
Serving in the AWANA Clubs at PBC provides an occasion for spiritual harvesting unlike any other. As we pray for individuals to trust Jesus Christ as their Savior and Redeemer, we also pray for the Lord of the harvest to send workers* into His harvest field of AWANA.
*All of our children’s ministry workers are required to undergo a background check for security reasons.
We serve a creative God. Being created in His image, we have been blessed with the same creative ability that God displayed in designing the universe. Each Sunday we use the abilities He has given us to worship Him in a fresh and unique way, be it through music, drama, video, or otherwise, as we prepare our hearts to receive a message from God’s Word.
The music in our morning worship services seeks to transcend the traditional/contemporary dichotomy of worship preferences. Our singular focus is to worship our Creator and Redeemer for Who He is, what He has done, what He is doing, and what He will do. To that end, we strive to draw our worship repertoire from the established canon of music, contemporary worship favorites, and songs popular in our fellowship.
We are always looking for willing, talented people to join any of our teams:
- Worship Team (Vocalists and Instrumentalists)
- Prelude and Postlude Team
- Media Team
- Drama Team
Short-term possibilities are available as well: periodically we have seasonal music and drama opportunities. Performing a song during the offering is a one-time opportunity to get involved.
