Serve Our World

Plano Bible Chapel is committed to sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our own community as well as to the ends of the earth. As we follow Him, we seek the lost (Luke 19:10) and serve the world (Acts 1:8).

Learn more about the missionaries we partner with here. Occasionally we send members of our community on short-term trips; you can read more about them below.

Abakan, Russia July 13-22, 2018

PlanoBibleChapel Elder and e3 Missionary Vasily Dmitrievsky is leading a team of short-term missionaries to Abakan this summer to serve with a local church and reach youth and adults in the large city. Despite its centuries old familiarity with the gospel via the Russian Orthodox Church, less than 1% of this vast nation attends any kind of Christian church.

Journey to the other side of the planet to partner with those few, small, and vibrant churches in Russia working to increase the faith of their nation and the 145 million people who inhabit it. Live your life as a witness to Jesus Christ and the power of His resurrection.

Puerto Rico Disaster Relief July 8-15, 2018

PBC Students (Grades 9-12) and Adults will help with disaster relief in Puerto Rico following the devastation of Hurricane Maria on September 20. It’s anticipated that our group will help with debris clean-up, light maintenance, and encouraging the people by listening to their stories. Serving in a place where Spanish is the primary language will give our group an opportunity to step into a genuine cross-cultural experience. Service in Puerto Rico is highly relational, whether we’re working with children and youth, so we’ll have many opportunities to talk with people about Jesus and the power of His resurrection.

Trip cost is $1,550 which includes travel, lodging, food, and work supplies. $50 Deposit is due by December 10.  Donate online for the Puerto Rico Mission Trip and invite others to join our support team through financially giving and faithfully praying. PBC will partner with YouthWorks for this Christ-centered mission trip; they will arrange for all the details in Puerto Rico. As a U.S. Territory, passports are not needed. Availability is limited, so reserve your space soon! Please contact Ryan Rives if you are interested in joining the team.
