Biblical Marriage

In response to a question that the Corinthians asked Paul (1 Corinthians 7:1), he responded with a view of marriage that was vastly different than the culture values and views of Corinth. As though some of the specific issues may be different in our day and culture, the essential problem of viewing marriage from self-interest and a consumer mentality is the same. Starting in Genesis, the Bible presents marriage as covenant relationship that values the relationship and the other person above one’s own feelings and wants.

How do we live an authentic life in marriage in a world that promotes living for self? Jordan Brown walks us through perspective of Biblical marriage from 1 Corinthians 7:1-5.
