Motivation for Doing Good
Preparing to go snow skiing with students last Spring Break, Jeff and his wife, Jennifer, began getting up early to work out in order to be ready to enjoy a full day of skiing every day of the trip. After the ski trip was over, there was still the desire to keep working out, but that only lasted about a week. Without the right motivation, good intentions remain just intentions at home, school, work, sports, etc.
So what motivates you to follow after Jesus? What is your reason for doing good works for Christ? In Titus 2:11-15, we find that a right understanding of Jesus – who He is and what He has done – is what drives us to doing good.
